We are a diverse group of community leaders, development experts, advocates, and volunteers who bring deep knowledge and experience in women’s rights, peacebuilding, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Our leadership includes passionate grassroots change-makers who understand the unique challenges faced by pastoralist communities. We work closely with local partners, government agencies, and international organizations to create sustainable solutions that uplift vulnerable women and girls. Guided by our core values of integrity, equality, and collaboration, the PAWA team is dedicated to ensuring every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive.
Amina Mohamed is a seasoned communications specialist with over five years experience in advocacy and strategic communications. As the HOD Communications in PAWA , she oversees media relations,digital outreach and storytelling initiatives to amplify the organization’s impact worldwide. Before joining PAWA Amina worked with Billian Music Foundation in Mathare Area and Masculinity Institute in Nairobi Upperhill developing campaigns that raised awareness on education, healthcare and social justice issues. She is pursuing a degree in Mount Kenya University and is positive about media, Public Admunistration and International Relations to bring positive change. Outside of work Amina Enjoys writing, traveling and reading .
